Never Give Up

Over the past year, I have made it a point to log in to LinkedIn at least once a day. Quickly, once a day has turned into six to seven times before lunch. I’m addicted to reading the rollercoaster of job hunts, lessons learned from internships, and genuine content.

Today I did my regular scroll through my feed, liking posts, and screenshotting individuals that I wanted to look up later on and noticed a post that struck me.

While Zusha and I are on two different career paths, we both are doing similar things.

He’s moving out of his comfort zone to LA to pursue his photography career.

I am moving to NYC, out of my comfort zone, to pursue my journalism career.

Everyday Zusha is questioning himself. He’s wondering if all of his hard work is worth it.

There’s doubt.

Every day I question if what I’m doing will be worth it in the long run. I’m doing everything that I can to get where I want to be. But once I get there, then what? Or what if I get there and it’s not what I expected it to be? Than what?

Zusha created this post as a personal reminder to motivate and encourage himself to keep going.

Despite the glimpses of self-doubt, he believes that he will make it because he believes in himself.

It’s okay to have doubts, but don’t let it consume you to the point of giving up.
