It’s fresh, it’s zingy and it’s delicious! Everyone knows that the dressing on your salad is absolutely the most important part of the dish. Today I decided to show you guys how to make a classic Italian vinaigrette. This recipe is so simple to put together and cost friendly. Impress your guests with this homemade dressing and keep them guessing! Let’s get to the ingredients…
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- ¾ cup olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic (minced)
- 1 ½ tsp.chopped oregano (preferably fresh, but you can use dried)
- A pinch of salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 tbsp. of freshly chopped parsley
Instructions:
- In a small bowl or mason jar, combine your vinegar, oil, and spices together.
- Mince your garlic and add it to the mixture.
- In a blender or food processor, mix your ingredients for about 10-15 seconds until everything is mixed evenly.
- Pour your mixture into a glass bottle or mason jar and leave it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to marinate.
- Once your salad is prepared, give your vinaigrette a good whisk before pouring it over top, and enjoy!
Optional: If you want larger chunks of garlic in your salad, refrain from adding the garlic into the blender. Blend the rest of your dressing and add the garlic afterwards.
