Small, local artists are often the backbone of close-knit communities – the SUNY Fredonia Campus being one of them. In a year in which everything has been shut down – no performance opportunities in sight – local creators are attempting to branch out – in more ways than one. Miley Cyrus’s Super Bowl Pre-Show Was… Something
Super Bowl 2021 had audiences heated as is – with 22,000 fans seated at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida: 7,500 healthcare workers among them. Hardcore fans and casual watchers alike were disappointed at the lack of regulation for the number of people in attendance, sparking endless social media debates about the importance of football in the United States. As if the amount of people in attendance wasn’t enough, the 7,500 healthcare workers stood between metal barriers with no social distancing guidelines. Spotify Playlists: A New Sense of Community During A Lockdown
Music is one of the biggest things keeping us together, especially in a time in which we’re feeling a lot of emotions as we’re away from each other. Over the course of this pandemic, I’ve noticed that Spotify has fostered a different sense of community that a lot of other social medias can’t really offer: the ability to share music with one another.
