Pizza is a universal guilty pleasure for many people in this world, including myself. It hits the spot every single time while I’m eating it, but afterwards I am sometimes filled with regret and guilt. Although it is extremely delicious, it is also not the healthiest of foods. Yesterday I decided to jump on some trends and bought Wegmans frozen cauliflower crust pizza!
At first I was a bit skeptical of this trend. Crust is undoubtedly the most important part to any pizza! I feared that this pizza would ruin my love for the open faced sandwich community but instead, it shed a new light for me.
I chose to purchase the veggie pizza with cauliflower crust, because go big or go home right? It cost me a total of $6.49, which I wasn’t mad at and I got to cooking- well putting the pizza in the oven. The box informed me to preheat my oven to 425 degrees, and let the pizza cook for about 16 minutes. Mine was a little over done, but I like the charred taste.
I sliced it up and took my first bite, immediately I was in love! This pizza tasted like any vegetable covered pizza, and I couldn’t even tell the crust wasn’t normal dough! If you are someone who doesn’t like thin crust, then this pizza is not for you because it is ultra thin. Luckily I love a thin crust so it was much enjoyed.
I give this pizza a 9/10 because it exceeded my expectations. I expected the worst but was pleasantly surprised by the result. If you are looking to enjoy pizza without the guilt, then I highly recommend you try this one out. Until next time, happy cooking!
