In this year\u2019s case, though, the Oscars got creative. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">All nominees for \u201cBest Original Song\u201d taped their performances in advance, and were aired on the pre-show, title \u201cOscars: Into the Spotlight\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Performances from Celeste,\u00a0H.E.R.,\u00a0Leslie Odom Jr.,\u00a0Laura Pausini, Daniel Pemberton, Molly Sand\u00e9n\u00a0and\u00a0Diane Warren were included for the five original songs. Four of the five musical performances were recorded at the Dolby Family Terrace in Los Angeles. The fifth performance, \u201cH\u00fasav\u00edk\u201d from \u201cEurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga,\u201d was recorded in H\u00fasav\u00edk, Iceland. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I think that this year\u2019s Oscars were smart for pre-recording their performances.
