A Lil’ Bit about Me!

Since I’m new to blogging and this is my first blog, I figured now it would be a good time to tell you more about myself!

First off, my name is Madison McClelland, but mainly people call me Maddie. I am originally from a small town in Western New York. My family consists of my dad, Kevin (better known as KevDog), my momma, Emily, and my two younger sisters, Molly & Sydney, also the sweetest lil girl pup, Tobin. I am currently in my Senior year at SUNY Fredonia as a Communication: Media Management major with a minor in Web Programming.

I would call myself a major old soul. I’m such a sucker for 60’s & 70’s music, and collect a ton of vinyl. My love for the “oldies” began around 10 years old. Some of my favorite “oldies” artist include The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, The Jackson 5, Lesley Gore, The Mamas & The Papas, The Hollies, The Grateful Dead, Billy Joel, and so many others. In addition, I love old, classic films. Grease happens to be my favorite film (Titanic is pretty much tied with it). 

When I’m not working on homework, you can find me singing & writing songs on my guitar or ukulele (check out my SoundCloud: www.soundcloud.com/maddiemcclelland ), working out, baking (nailed my Banana Bread skills thanks to quarantine), going to thrift stores, working (multiple jobs), calling my mother way too much (I mean, I know there’s other people who do this too…), watching too many Friends reruns and hanging out with my family, friends and amazing boyfriend.

​With this blog, I hope to talk about all my favorite 1960’s, 1970’s and all around “vintage” things. Hopefully you learned a little bit more about me, and as I continue to post I’m sure you’ll learn even more.
