The Marxonian, Fall 2019

The Arts Journalism (Comm 315) and Editing and Design (Comm 346) classes collaborated this fall to create a magazine, The Marxonian.

The Arts class wrote the stories and the Editing & Design class edited the stories and put them together in The Marxonian. Avril King, who’s in the Arts class but took the E&D class last year, stepped in and served as the editor-in-chief, doing great work in organizing everything and, in the spirit of Nike, just doing it.

The project was built around the annual Freedonia Marxonia event, which focuses attention on the Marx Brothers, their art and their connection (or not … you’ll have to read the magazine) to Fredonia.
