                                                                                                            What is a toxic/relationship?

On college campuses, toxic relationships may take various forms.

However, they can be between two students in a love connection, two students who are SHAG BUDDIES, or even in a situationship, or two students who are competing academically.

 

 

Ask yourself these questions:

 

Are your relationships with people and yourself one-sided?

 

 

Do you find yourself putting in more effort in your relationships?

 

 

Are you practicing boundaries that benefit both you and the other people in your life?

 

 

A lack of respect, communication, and trust characterizes toxic partnerships.

 

 

 These connections might have a harmful influence on the pupils’ mental and emotional wellbeing.

 

 

 

There are several indicators that a relationship is becoming toxic.

 

 

 

Among these warning indicators are: 

 

 

  • One member in the relationship is always attempting to exert control over the other.

 

  • The two people in the relationship are not communicating well.

 

  • The two people in the relationship do not trust each other

 

  • One member in the relationship is constantly criticizing the other.

 

  • One individual in the partnership is always attempting to exert control over the connection.

 

  • The two people in the relationship do not respect each other.

 

  • If you observe any of these warning signals in your own relationship, you must act quickly.

 

  • You can discuss your worries with a trustworthy friend or family member.

 

 

 

 

 

What are some signs you are in a healthy relationship? 

Some indicators are:

 

You’re both committed to the relationship:

 

It consists of love, trust, communication, and respect.

 

 

 

A committed relationship is a monogamous relationship where two people are in an exclusive, committed relationship with each other.

 

 

 

This means that they are not seeing or dating anyone else.

 

 

 

 

You feel supported and cared for:

 

 

your partner is interested in my day-to-day experiences and takes the time to listen to me.

 

 

 

Do you feel supported when your partner is willing to help you with tasks or projects, even if they are not directly related to them.
