Details
Run, directed by Aneesh Changanty, is a Hulu original film. With that being said, you can stream this thriller anytime on Hulu!
- Rated: PG-13
- Runtime: 1h 30min
- Release Date: October 8, 2020
Although this film is not necessarily based on a true story, some of the plot reminds me of the Gypsy Rose Blanchard case. If you’re not aware of this case, The Act is a series (also on Hulu) that consists of 8 episodes and tells the story of Gypsy Rose in a dramatized style. Regardless, Run is a suspenseful film that you can enjoy watching on your own or with others!

Despite my potential bias because of my love for Sarah Paulson as an actress, the casting for this movie was very well done in my opinion. The actors definitely enhanced the thrilling experience and suspenseful scenes. From time to time, I love a good thriller movie and this is one of them. Personally, I would rate this film 4 out of 5 stars.
Rotten Tomatoes gave this film 89% on their tomatometer as well as 74% on the audience score. The film received 6.7 out of 10 stars on IMDb.
Run has won multiple awards including the Spotlight Award from the Hollywood Critics Association, Authentic Representation award from Ruderman Family Foundation Seal of Authentic Representation, and Worst Screen Mom of the Year Award from Women Film Critics Circle Awards.
