I would also love to give you all some insight to some of the shows that I have been watching recently and give a rating!
  1. Once Upon a Time

This show has seven seasons that aired on the channel ABC from 2011 to 2017. Disney+ describes OUAT as a “Soap Opera/Melodrama, Fantasy, Action-Adventure” type show. The story of the show takes place in a new world, one in which fairy-tale legends and modern life collide.

I have watched all seven seasons of this show and I could not stop watching. I would probably re-watch this show several times. The end of every episode always has you craving more, and the series finale had me in tears and it wrapped everything up so well.

Rating: 9.5/10 ⭐️

  1. High School Musical the Musical the Series

This show has two seasons and was confirmed for a third season coming out later this year (2022). Disney+ describes the show as a “Romance, Drama, Coming of Age, Comedy, Music” type of show. The show is set at a fictionalized version of East High School. This was the school at which the original movie (High School Musical) was filmed. This show follows a group of teenage theater students who participate in a production of High School Musical: The Musical.

I have watched all of the episodes that have been released so far. I will also continue watching the third season when it comes out. I enjoy the concept of the show, but I am glad that in the second season the musical that the students perform is a twist (I’m not going to give spoilers just in case).

  1. Boy Meets World

This show has seven seasons that aired on the channel ABC from 1993 to 1999. Disney+ describes Boy Meets World as a “Coming of Age, Family, Comedy” type of show. This show is a sitcom that chronicles the coming-of-age events and everyday life-lessons of Cory Matthews. The show follows Cory and his friends/family from his elementary school days to his life as a married man.

I have skipped around and have watched most of the seven seasons of this show. However, when I have some free time, I have started to re-watch the show and I just started on the third season. I really enjoy watching this show because you can relate to Cory a lot throughout the entirety of the show. The show also handles difficult topics extremely well.

  1. Daredevil

This show has three seasons that aired on Netflix but was switched to Disney+ in 2022. The show originally aired on television in 2015 and lasted until 2018. Disney+ describes Daredevil as a “Film Noir, Superhero, Crime, Action-Adventure” type of show. The show follows Matthew Murdock, who is an attorney by day and vigilante by night. Murdock was blinded by chemicals and was trained in martial arts and feuds with criminals in Hell’s Kitchen. As he fights convicts throughout the city, he meets new allies as well as old friends and becomes Daredevil, a symbol of justice for a corrupted city.

I started watching this show last year when it was still on Netflix and continued watching it when it was switched onto Disney+. I haven’t finished the series yet, but I am currently halfway through the second season. Personally, I think that Daredevil is one of the better shows that Marvel has come out with.

  1. What If…?

This show has only one season released on Disney+ but has confirmed a second season that will be coming out. Disney+ describes the show as a “Science Fiction, Anthology, Animation, Superhero, Action-Adventure” type of show. The series explores alternate timelines in the multiverse that show what would happen if major moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films occurred differently.

This show came out in 2021 with one episode per week. I have watched the whole first season and will continue to watch when the second season comes out (2022). I thought that this show was very interesting with really good animation. I love the concept of the show and can’t wait to see where it will go next.

  1. Loki

This show has only one season released on Disney+ but has confirmed a second season that will be coming out. Disney+ describes the show as a “Science Fiction, Fantasy, Superhero, Action-Adventure” type of show. The show Loki revolves around the mischievous villain escaping The Avengers and getting caught by the “Time Variance Authority” or TVA for short. This sends him on a mission to catch the different antagonist who has been troubling the timelines (again no spoilers).

This show came out in 2021 with one episode per week. I have watched the whole first season and will continue to watch when the second season comes out (2022). I thought that this was a good show and that Tom Hiddleston really thrived having his own show.

Rating: 8.5/10 ⭐️

  1. Wanda Vision

This show has only one season released on Disney+ in 2021. Disney+ describes the show as a “Romance, Drama, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Superhero” type of show. Wanda Maximoff creates an alternate reality where her husband, Vision, and their twins are alive, and they all live together.

This show came out in 2021 with one episode per week. I have watched the series and thought that the show was very interesting that they chose to mimic different television shows from different time periods.

  1. The Mandalorian

This show has two seasons released on Disney+ but has confirmed a third season that will be coming out. Disney+ describes the show as a “Science Fiction, Action-Adventure” type of show. The show begins five years after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983) and the fall of the Galactic Empire, The Mandalorian follows Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.

This show came out in 2019 with one episode per week. I have watched the first and second seasons and will continue to watch when the third season comes out (2022).

  1. Encore!

This show has only one season released on Disney+ in 2019. Disney+ describes the show as a “Reality, Music” type of show. The show reunites the cast members of high school musicals to recreate their performance years after they originally performed.

Being a musical theatre person, I really enjoyed this show. It made me think about past shows that I had done in high school, which really made me want to perform them again.

  1. Moon Knight

This show doesn’t even have one full season released on Disney+ yet. There are currently (as of April 12th, 2022) only two episodes able to be streamed on Disney+. There are new episodes being released weekly. The show follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of a different life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary, Marc Spector.

There isn’t enough content to really judge right now, but I thought that the show is off to a good start. The only complaint is that the CGI isn’t the best, but that’s not make or break.
