Sport Plug Predictions:
To take up less room on the page, I will only be predicting outcomes for the main event of the card. My predictions are as follows:
Petr Yan vs Song Yadong: Petr Yan
Gilbert Burns vs Jack Della Maddalena: Gilbert Burns
Kevin Holland vs Michael Page: Michael Page
Dustin Poirier vs Benoît San-Denis: Dustin Poirier
Sean O’Malley vs Marlon Vera: Sean O’Malley
MVP
Michael “Venom” Page will make his UFC debut this Saturday vs Kevin Holland and it has been highly anticipated. The former Bellator MMA champion was recently signed to the UFC and fans have since waited for him to get in the octagon.
I do think this is a challenging matchup for Page, as both fighters are good strikers. One thing I can assure fans is that they are in for a show when both Page and Holland are in the octagon.
My Thoughts
UFC 300 will take place more than a full month later than 299. I think this will do justice for the UFC in building the anticipation for the gigantic card.
Many fans have questioned the strength of the card, after UFC President Dana White claimed it would be the strongest card in UFC history. I personally disagree with those fans and believe this is quite definitely the most entertaining lineup of fights ever put together in one night (on paper at least).
My favorite fight on the card in Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway could by itself be a headliner, meanwhile there is two more fights after it. Former UFC Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is on the card, and currently is slated to be on the PPV.
Those two facts alone should explain the strength of this card, and that April 13th is going to be a fun night of UFC fights.
