Jack Gohlke

Oakland Guard Jack Gohlke had a Cinderella run in the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. Across the two rounds he sank 16 three-pointers and combined for 54 points.

He took the internet by storm in the first round with his 10 three-pointer performance against the University of Kentucky in which they upset the 3rd ranked basketball powerhouse.

He then had another great performance in a thriller of a game against NC State, where he put up another 6 three-pointers. Oakland unfortunately fell short in overtime, but Gohlke has made a name for himself and gained numerous fans.

Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark has had a historic collegiate career, now holding the all-time points record in NCAA women’s basketball. She also broke the all-time women’s three-point record in her senior season.

In the past two seasons, Clark has been a viral sensation with her insane scoring ability and her accolades.

Clark and Iowa are now in the second round of the tournament and will take on West Virginia on Monday. Iowa is looking to return to the national championship for the second year in a row.

JMU

James Madison University found themselves in the bracket this year, ranked 12th in the south bracket. They are always a controversial school as they are not in an overly competitive conference, so no one knows how they’ll fare against the top schools.

They were able, however, to pull off a gigantic upset against number 5-ranked Wisconsin in the first round of the tournament. Today they fell short against the Duke Blue Devils and will have to regroup for next season.
