NBA
Boston Celtics vs. Denver Nuggets: Thursday March 7th, at 10 pm
My choice for the game of the week in the NBA this week is an easy one, as the Boston Celtics take on the Denver Nuggets in a matchup of two of the top teams in the league. Nikola Jokic vs Jason Tatum should be a fun battle to watch.
NHL
New York Rangers vs. Florida Panthers: Monday March 4th, 7 pm
The two top teams in the league will face off on Monday night in what could flip flop the top team in the league. The Rangers sit two points behind the Panthers and will look to take the first place spot in the league.
UFC 299
Kevin Holland vs Michael Page: Saturday March 9th, at 10pm
So obviously there is the headliner fight of Sean O’Malley and Marlon “Chito” Vera, but I wanted to go with one that may be lesser known to the casual mma fan. Kevin Holland has had an already electric UFC career and this will be Michael “Venom” Page’s first UFC bout.
Page was acquired by the UFC after his contract expired with Bellator. Page was a top fighter in the promotion and his debut in the UFC is highly anticipated.
Also on the card is a favorite of mine, Dustin Poirier taking on Benoît Saint Denis in a matchup of two top contenders in the lightweight division.
