Dear Skate Scout community,
First off, I would like to thank all of you for your love and support along this exciting journey. It means the world to me that even one person cares to take time out of their busy schedule to check out my website and show their appreciation.
When I first launched Skate Scout, I never thought I would become so invested in writing articles and building an audience. But as time went on and I began to see the progress of my website’s visual appearance and the improvement of the quality of my articles, I was hooked.
I embarked on this adventure to share my love and passion for skateboarding with other individuals from all walks of life, and I am happy to say that I have achieved this goal beyond my wildest dreams. Although I am a busy college student studying computer information systems, I found it relaxing and relatively easy to write about a topic so close to my heart.
Together, we have explored the ins and outs of skateboarding culture, from tutorials teaching beginners the ropes like “How to Build Your First Skateboard” to the broad impact of skateboarding on society, art, music, individual mental health, and its own tight-knit community. As a group, we have been able to celebrate and advocate for the positivity and support that both skateboarding and its community can provide to its participants and the world around them.
Perhaps most importantly, we have built our own community; one that I would label as a family. This family has been brought together through our shared love for skateboarding and everything it stands for. From beginners to experts, each member of this family has brought a special energy and perspective to Skate Scout. Your passion and enthusiasm to engage with each other as well as the content I have provided has made Skate Scout what it is today–a vibrant and welcoming hub for skateboarding enthusiasts of all levels and backgrounds.
Reflecting on the website and the community surrounding it fills me with a sense of pride and gratitude for the incredible adventure we have shared together. Skate Scout has served as a creative outlet, allowing me to allocate time to delve deeper into more niche skateboarding related topics such as the evolution of skateboarding, its inclusion in the olympic games, and the contrast between the stereotypes and realities of the hobby.
As this chapter of my college career comes to an end in saying goodbye to Skate Scout, I would like all of my followers to know that the memories we have created will live on forever. Your support and encouragement have been the driving force behind Skate Scouts development and evolution. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being a part of my journey of passion, self-discovery, and personal growth.
