Precious Achiuwa is a Nigerian Professional Basketball player, that plays for the Toronto Raptors. He stands at 6’9 with a wingspan of 7’0. He is currently a power forward for the Raptors. Achiuwa got drafted to the national basketball association in 2020 by the Miami Heat and traded to the Raptors in 2021.
He has made a great impact on team since his arrival. Since the 2020 draft, he has made a lot of improvements in the sport during his NBA career. His stats have been increasing every year since he joined the league. I believe he is on track to being MIP (most improved player) for the Raptors.
On Wednesday’s game Achiuwa got injured injured, in the fourth Quarter against the Huston Rockets. On Thursday, It was announcedthe Achiuwa will be sitting out the next few games. He has “partial tears in ligaments in his ankle“. Apart from this diagnosis, he will be wearing a boot for the next 10 days.
“Achiuwa drove to the basket from the left side of the floor, met Usman Garuba at the rim, and landed awkwardly on his right leg. He limped off the floor but had to be helped back to the locker room, unable to put any weight on the leg”.
His injury is so unfortunate for him and his team. Due to his injury, He is now the 5th player to be sidelined at games. These next couple of games do not look too well for the Raptors with so many players benched. Currently Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Khem Birch, and Justin Champagnie will be out this next game. Only 12 players remain in full perfect condition. I hope the best for team this Monday as they play against the Detroit Pistons. On the other hand, The Pistons have a full roster of healthy players so lets see how the turn out is.
