December 3, 2022, the Toronto Raptors played against Orlando Magic at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada. The game was an exemplar of good teamwork. While there were star players in yesterday’s game I think teamwork was the highlight of the game for me. The team started great in the first quarter leading with 14 point lead of 22-36. The Raptors continued to lead the whole game. The first half of the game was 48-64. This half set the tone for the rest of the game. The team’s performance is what I loved in the first half. There was undoubtedly a chemistry on the court you saw in the Raptors that you did not see in the Orlando Magics. That connection is what made them successful last night. The game ended with a W for the raptors with a score of 108 – 121.
Many did not believe the Raptors would have pulled through today because in the last two games they lost to the Pelicans and Nets. But I think it was something about being in their city surrounded by their fans that helped them. They felt the energy and support of the crowd.
I think its is also important to note that last week a lot of the Raptors players were injured. But this game not as much players were injured. Precious Achiuwa and Otto Porter Jr. both remain out and aren’t expected to return anytime soon, they were injured from pervious games. This is not as bad as last week when only 12 players of 18 were good enough to play. Unfortunately, Juancho Hernangomez ended up with a injury report after yesterday’s game. He suffered an ankle sprain and most likely will not be participating in tomorrows game against the Celtics.
I cannot wait to see what tomorrow’s game going to be like. Go Raps!
