In an era where the majority of our movies are created from previously established ideas or stories, there seems to be an ongoing argument about whether we’ve reached a stagnant place in cinematography.
Some people argue that this industry has bled itself dry of creativity and innovation, while others argue these remakes have not only kept stories alive and relevant but in some cases, were made even better than the original.
MovieWeb.com compiled a list of 20 films they believe to be outdated and ready for an updated remake:

I personally find this list a bit silly to consider remaking. Most of them are sequels that don’t have an existing remake to follow up, aren’t very old yet, or are already remakes themselves. I think films need time to adjust within society so I believe that films that come out while people are children should not already be remade by the time those children are having their own.
However, I can imagine some decent remakes of a few of these older films, like Rosemary’s Baby and The Birds because they’re now classics in the horror world.
