A quick, small little post to whet your appetite; logos suck now. When I say this, I’m referencing popular brands with cool logos that just got completely ruined the further on they went. Let’s look at a few, and reminisce, huh?
Look at the logo on the left. Look at how vibrant that is, how it explodes in your face, how it gets you interested in drinking Pepsi right out of the gate. That’s cool as hell! That works so well, I mean come on! Doesn’t that look so damn cool? Now you look at the one on the right, and it’s plain Jane boring as hell. If Left Pepsi is your cool uncle that always shows up with some new cool thing to bring, than Right Pepsi is like your boring uncle who comes to every family get together in slacks and church clothes.
This isn’t the only example of this either. Take a look at some of the old Apple logos, or Doritos. I mean, really guys? Brands should look cool and have fun, not look like I’m at an actuarial meeting.
