A photo competition was announced last semester during the month of November at my college campus. The theme was\u00a0Reconstructing Narratives<\/em> with the prompt of addressing inequities in our life or the lives of other. I figured, “Why not?” and made my submissions for the competition.<\/p>\n

And I won.<\/p>\n

It was such a surprise to me that out of all the applicants, my photos received the first place position. I couldn’t describe the feeling when I found out. But it validated my experiences and made me truly happy doing what I do.\"\"<\/p>\n
