Sooooo… I have the privilege of being a self-proclaimed headlining Drag Queen here at Fredonia, so it is only appropriate that I made merch for myself.
Currently I have four different collections out on my TeeSpring account:
First is my “Body Pillow Princess” set! Inspired from my love of anime, this design was created in collaboration with my good friend Keri Manne (follow them on IG! @stripe.png) This piece depicts Fallon Angel as an anime character bound in chains in the infamous body pillow style. I have always been drawn to the rather niche culture of anime and always wanted to become an anime school girl. So I thought it was a great opportunity to have that vision come to life!
Next is my “10INCH SAUSAGE W/ PINEAPPLE” design. This is a design that I made myself in a photoshoot I had with my delivered pizza. My inspiration behind this was from the cheesy (pun-intended) adult videos with such comedic scripts that were definitely not the main priority. The addition of pineapple was a comedic reference to my islander background as well as my controversial love of the topping. This shirt definitely is a bold fashion statement!
Thirdly is my series of posters inspired by my love of the 2018 Met Gala theme, “Heavenly Bodies.” This series reflects on my own experiences growing up with intersecting identities under the Catholic practice. The LGBTQ+ community has had a turbulent history with the Catholic practice and this story showcases the nuances and growth of my journey through it.
My most recent collection is “Finish Her!” Another design made in collaboration with my friend Keri, this piece was inspired by the classic fighting arcade game, Street Fighter. The outfit in the piece is an actual piece made by me in reference to the Philippine flag’s sun and stars. Fallon Angel’s final fatality move depicts the flag of the Philippines and national legend of the Minokawa.
