RPDR Review: Freaky Friday Queens

***WARNING SPOILERS***

You have been warned.

In last week’s episode, we had one of the more interesting makeover challenges. Due to the pandemic and limiting the amount of people coming to set, the queens this week had to give each other makeovers.

Put into pairs, we had some very interesting partners. Symone and Utica and Gottmik and Kandy Muse were the two very contrasting pairs that caught my eye. The one thing that really got me was the fact that the queens were then to be judges as pairs.

This is so frustrating since now the queen’s are not necessarily in full control of what their partner does and their partners downfall will lead to their downfall regardless of how well they did. We saw this happen with the end results of the episode.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to one of my favorite queens of the season, Denali. Although she did great, her partner’s fault led to her elimination. Despite doing amazing the entire season and consistently servings tens across the board.

I must admit that I am a bit biased because I relate to Denali a lot. A strong, polished performer well-aware of her aesthetics and voice. Yet, this talent is not always being recognized despite being a standout star.

I am very proud of Denali and all the work she has done on this season, she served as amazing looks and iconic lip-syncs. It will be great to see her again in the future, hopefully on the next season of All-Stars.

This video has got to be in my top-five favorite performances from the entire series! Iconic you MUST watch it if you have not already. It is constantly on repeat on my mind.
