Rent\u2019s story creates a great environment for the LGBTQIA+ community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To continue with the tradition of acceptance and diversity, Rent casted Jordan Fisher as the first black man to play the lead, Mark Cohen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a tweet Jordan Fisher said, \u201cWhat ya\u2019ll don\u2019t know is that fourteen years ago, my ultimate dream I wanted to see manifested was to be the first Mark Cohen of color. That dream is about to be realized.
