This is a collection of websites that I shopped on before and during college. I also put what I bought from the stores so it gives you a better idea of sales.
Target- I used Target for dorm-related items. I bought my mini-fridge, comforters, sheets, pillowcases, towels, storage, body pillows, personal necessities, and class essentials.
Walmart- Since Walmart is the main shopping destination in my college town, I get everything there. That includes food, drinks, bakeware, clothes, bath necessities, books, and chargers.
Amazon- Amazon is a great place to buy items in bulk. My favorite energy drink can be bought at a grocery store where I live but it is too far of a drive to just get the drink. So I would order a pack of twelve for a smaller price. Amazon is also nice when you are just looking for things to buy like phone cases, gifts, and clothes.
Now, these are the stores that I went to before I moved into college and what I bought.
TJ Maxx- I bought decorative but also useful totes here. I use them to store my towels, shoes, extra clothes, extra blankets (dorms get cold), the food that doesn’t need to stay cold, and makeup. TJ Maxx is also great for cheaper clothes especially if you need a more business-type look.
Five Below- It is no secret that Five Below is cheap, but they are great quality items. I got a step stool there so I could get on my bed easier, collapsible bins, games, and notepads.
BJ’s Wholesale Club- Wholesale clubs are great for bulk items like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and more. They have great deals on electronics too, I got my laptop from the Apple store, but they usually have great deals going on. The clubs are also good for buying pens, pencils, notebooks, folders, clothes, and the snacks and drinks you love.
These are just the stores that I went to and what I bought from them, but there are so many more. Before you start a new semester, it is always smart to take note of what you have so you can either refill or replace what you don’t have.
Make sure you are looking at what the weekly ads are at each store, along with their coupons, and don’t forget about your Fetch Rewards so you can earn a $10 gift card.
For now,
Happy Shopping!
