Yesterday, the Islanders had their first ever playoff game at UBS Arena and it was a huge success.

It was Game 3 between the Islanders and the Carolina Hurricanes and they won 5-1, to make the series 2-1 in favor of Carolina.

However, the first goal by “Mr. Islander” Casey Cizikas will be in the record books as the first goal in UBS Arena playoff history.

The keep and pass by Pulock. The finish by Cizikas. The roar of the UBS Crowd. All of it gave me a combined chill down my spine.

Casey had a big game for the Islanders as he was named the first star.

Other goalscorers were Kyle Palmieri, Matt Martin, Scott Mayfield, and Anders Lee.

The Islanders face off against the Hurricanes in Game 4 tomorrow at UBS Arena.
