As posted in the last blog, the Islanders lost their first round series against the Hurricanes in six games thus ending their season.

A lot of negative things from the series, but something I saw that I really liked is how the Islander players consoled Ilya Sorokin after the game and really brought warmth to my heart seeing it.

Ilya Sorokin was the team MVP all year, and continues to be one of the best goalies in the NHL so good on the players to make sure he is mentally okay after a tough goal to give up.

Players are humans too, and I hope Ilya is not taking one bad goal to heart, and continues to build what he did this season onto next season.
