- This is a random post but it’s whatever. I was chilling on Instagram and I know you all have been seeing the “Teenage Me” thread that everyone is reposting to. That thread has me mad weak looking at all these people back in the day. So I started looking at my middle/high school years and just started laughing mad hard.
- I was looking at my outfits and just remembering what was going on in my head at the time and how fly I thought I was and was like OH NAH. So I’m gonna show a few pictures and go through the evolution of the drip.
Believe it or not this is the first day of 6th grade. So that’s 2015. And yea I was mad short for years until I hit my growth spurt. Moms had dressed me and had me take a pic on the block away from school and then posted me on WhatsApp and Facebook like 20 times that day.
- I lost that lunchbox that exact same day and never found it. And the swag changed up IMMEDIATELY between here and a few months later.
- This flick is from like 2017. I’m saying that because this looks like Mr. Martin’s room (if you went to Lenox you know). Pretty sure those are Khaliyah’s glasses I stole. But the main focus is the Sprayground bag.
- Those Sprayground days were a different time. I had the bag with the gold bricks and my son Jorden had the same bag which fake got me tight when I popped out with it for the first time lmaoo.
- Life was great when Sprayground was popping. $5 can get you a sandwich, bev, chips, and some candy at any corner store in the city. We used to go to the Chinese spot and just get fries with bbq or hot sauce for $1.25. Arizona was still the drink of choice. And I still used to eat Burger King and KFC back then.
- This has to be around 2018/2019. It was my son Ila season opener at Lincoln and I had to go support. I had the Oxford Tan Yeezy Boost 350’s on.
- Funny story about those shoes though. I had got them as a gift and only wore them out for special occasions because they were some of the first Yeezy’s to be released. But I had saw a vid on Snapchat of someone getting caught with fake ones that scared me to death.
- So every time I was ready to wear them, I’d start looking at YouTube videos like two nights before of sneaker heads telling you how to spot fake Yeezys. I’d inspect them literally all night long just to build up confidence.
- This is definitely early 2020. First off, I had no idea how to take mirror pics and I still don’t.
- I was in the WOODstack in Brownsville with my sister and saw the mirror and felt super fly. Had the Cloud White V2 Yeezys on matched with the H&M biker jeans. I was H&M’s biggest fan at a point in time. Hoodie’s, sweats, jeans, anything. I was at Kings Plaza as much as I could be just to see what H&M had going on.
- Tommy Hilfiger puffer on too. I’m a strong believer that puffers are better for comfort and moving around. But coats with fur hoods are better for the cold. (Peep, I got the fur hood eventually).
- I’m 17 here for prom. I got some prom flicks on my gram but I fake don’t have any by myself but this one. Standing in front of the crib, something real chill: banana republic suit, don’t even remember the shirt, Steve Madden loafers on the feet, and my sister on the hair.
- I feel like from here on out I really stopped caring about drip for real. I feel like not only being in college, but once you start getting money for real and be busy, you just throw on anything to get the job done and be comfortable.
- Like right now I wear new balances to any and every occasion I could. Just ordered some Asics to switch up the vibes feel me.
