  1. Use Google Calendar to schedule your time

Google Calendar lover here, using the site to have your classes scheduled as well as set aside study periods as well as “me-time” is one of the best ways to make sure you are keeping that time to yourself and to make sure you are on top of what you have to do daily. You can also add events that you hear about to your calendar to see if you can fit it into your schedule as well as being aware of when it happens.

  1. Get proper sleep

It’s no secret that sleep is important to make sure you are at your best, as getting those 8 hours of sleep will help you keep the best mentality through the stressful time of college.

  1. Take breaks when you need to

This is especially important when it comes to the more stressful moments of the semester, making sure you take mental heal breaks to avoid burnout. I am actually ignoring my own advice as I am currently writing this post while mildly sick, so if anything doesn’t make sense here, sorry. But like, seriously, don’t do what I’m doing. This sucks.

  1. Stay on top of your schoolwork

As soon as you get an assignment, you should probably do it ASAP so the content is fresh in your brain and so you don’t have to worry about it later.

  1. Visit professors during their office hours

You may be asking yourself “Why do professors even have office hours”, but they are useful to attend to bring up any questions you have about your coursework materials so you can do your best in your class. Also, the professors might be more inclined to give you higher grades because you are making an effort.
