Another week in good ole Fredonia has flown by. This past Wednesday I spent my night at BJ’s on Main Street.
This week we were welcomed to the show by the band Edelwood Creek. They were a post hardcore band and the crowd reacted accordingly with moshing and singing. Edelwood Creek came in 2nd place in last year’s Battle of the New Bands, held by Music Industry Club.
They won my heart with a cover of Daylily by one of my favorite bands Movements.
Next up was The Weather Might Say Otherwise, previous North Pole residents and Fredonia favorites. They illuminated the stage with their silly antics and good times.
And wrapping up the show for the night was the band Tsunami Tsurprise. From songs about space cowboys to covering Just a Girl by No Doubt, they had the crowd going crazy.
I highly recommend checking out all three bands either online or by catching one of their shows.
Next was my favorite part of the night, chatting with the people. Wednesday night I got to speak with James Sprecker and Meg Munro of Tsunami Tsurprise and Tanor Morrison of the Weather Might Say Otherwise. I first spoke with James and Tanor. At the end of the show I then met up with Meg.
For next week’s post, since it is an off week for shows at BJ’s, I want to get my readers involved. To do so I am asking you to submit your favorite song from a tv show or movie (not necessarily the theme song, could be a song in the credits or in the show itself). You can submit it by commenting on this post or you can respond to the Instagram story following the story promoting the post. I will then incorporate those into next week’s post.
