It’s Women’s History Month! And what’s a better way to celebrate than telling you some of my favorite books with strong female characters? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For far too long, female characters in books were added to support the men’s <\/em>journey, whatever that may be. And women weren’t allowed to be authors publicly, and many published under male pseudonyms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And while the fight for equality isn’t over, we’ve come SO FAR in terms of literature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have women authors of all backgrounds and cultures, and stories with women leads depicting their own journeys and hardships! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women aren’t strong characters just because they can wield a sword and have sarcastic remarks on the tip of their tongue. Sure, that makes them badass, but that’s not the only <\/em>criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women are caring, determined, vulnerable, passionate for what they believe in, and so much more. And they’re flawed – the best <\/em>characters have real flaws just like humans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So my trusty readers, here are the books that I believe have strong female characters. And they’re (almost) all <\/em>written by women! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There really isn’t a way to describe their strength without spoiling, so I’ll attach the synopsis and hope you take my word for it! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n
