I figured while we wait for the new releases this year, I’d give y’all a list of my favorite book to film adaptations!
I’m going to be completely honest – I haven’t read all the books from this list. But the adaptations made me want to read the book, so it still counts!
- One of Us is Lying on Peacock
If you read my five star reads post, you’ll know how bitter I am that this show was cancelled after the second season.
- The Summer I Turned Pretty on Amazon Prime Video
I haven’t read these books yet, but they ARE on my shelf to read eventually!
(also, #TeamConrad)
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before on Netflix
These movies inspired me to read the books and I loved them!
However, the books put me even MORE on #TeamJohnAmbrose …
And, I mean, he was played by Jordan Fisher in the movie. How can I not be on his team??
- The Maze Runner on HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video
In the era of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner, I was a Maze Runner girly.
I’m not 100 percent sure I ever finished the book, but I love the movies!
- Pride and Prejudice on Peacock and Amazon Prime Video
Pride and Prejudice is actually the only Classic so far that I have any interest in reading.
There are MANY more adaptations that I’ve seen – Twilight, Me Before You, Divergent, Hunger Games, etc. – but it doesn’t seem fair to include them when I have no desire to read their books.
Let me know what YOUR favorites are and if you’ve seen any of these!
Stay tuned for my next post!
