Timeline of the MCU

As a MCU fan, you know about there are so many different ways to experience the current 22 movies the cinematic universe has to offer.

Due to the recent pandemic, Marvel hasn’t been able to release any new

movies in the theaters. So during this time, I decided to rewatch my favorite heroes in action to relive some of the best moments!

One of the unique viewing options (and my personal favorite) is watching all the movies in chronological order.

As someone who has seen most of the movies in release order, this was something that I had always wanted to do. Thanks to Disney+, I was able to conquer this task.

One of my favorite things about watching the movies in chronological order, rather than release date is how seamless the movies follow one another. In release order, the movies tend to skip different times and it’s a bit harder to figure out how things flow together in the timeline.

The mid and end credit scenes also play into the telling of the story. Each of those scenes elaborates a little bit more of the story and usually serves as a sneak peek for what is to come.

The adventure begins in 1942 with Steve Rogers as he becomes the hero known as Captain America. Jump forward to the 1990s and meet Carol Danvers and her journey to become the infamous Captain Marvel.

The story continues with the movie that started the entire MCU as you follow Tony Stark as he creates one of the famous heroes in the movie “Iron Man.”

At the end, you finally reach the big finale that every single movie before it was led up too. “Avenger: Endgame” is the three hour movie event where all the superheroes you grew to love come together for one big epic adventure to finally defeat Thanos.

While there are so many different ways that you can enjoy the movies whether you watch them in release order, phase order or chronological order, you can still experience the action and stories that the MCU has to offer just the same.
