I’m the type of person who loves to showcase whatever types of fandoms I’m in.
A couple years ago, a girl named Leslie Kay came up with idea of “Disney bounding” for fans of Disney.
“Disney bounding” is when someone creates inspired outfits by certain characters based off of color schemes or style of the characters.
Most of these outfits can easily be made from items in your closet.
I thought a fun task would be to see what superheroes I could come up with from items in my closet.
Spider-Man:Everyone’s favorite web-slinger follows along the lines of a red and blue color scheme. I channelled my inner Peter Parker and decided to follow my outfit and the same fashion as his suit. I wore a blue flannel with a red cami as an accent for the top. On the bottom, I wore navy blue pants that match his suit with red converse that matches his shoes. I added my glasses as a little extra to match the nerdy side of Spider-Man.
Nightwing: Inspired by dink Grayson, Nightwing’s outfit has a very simple blue and black color scheme. I personally own quite a bit of blue so finding the right shade of blue was the real challenge. I decided to wear black leggings, converse and cardigan to match the black of his suit. I added a blue cami and scrunchie as accents to match the blue bird on his chest.
Winter Soldier: Making a comeback from serving in World War 2, Bucky Barnes finally got to experience what it’s like to be in modern society. Winter Soldier was such a fun outfit to create. I wore a grey sweater to match his signature arm along with black leggings and combat boots to show the historical background in the outfit. Special shoutout to two of my closest friends for the addition of the leather jacket. For the final touch, I wore a red scrunchie to accent the red star on his arm.
Batman: Straight from Gotham City, the next superhero I was inspired to find an outfit was based off of Batman. Similar to Nightwing, Batman also follows a very basic color scheme. This was the easiest outfit to make because I wore black leggings, converse and cardigan to match the black of his suit. I added a yellow t-shirt to match the symbol of his bat in the center of his suit.
Daredevil: Based off of one of my personal favorite superheroes, I did an outfit inspired by the “Man with no fear” or otherwise known as “The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.” The character of Daredevil has a strong red color scheme with some accents of black, so that was the main focus of the outfit. I wore a red and black flannel and red leggings to embody the suit. The black converse matched the same color as his shoes. The black cami underneath serves as more toward the accents of his suit. To top off the outfit, I added a red scrunchie and red sunglasses to represent his cowl.
Kid Flash: To match “The Fastest Man Alive,” Wally West aka Kid Flash was one of the easiest outfits to create from my closet. His suit follows a simple yellow top and red bottom. I matched the same outfit as he did. I also decided to make this look a little more sporty than my other ones because Kid Flash is a runner. I personally don’t own any yellow shoes so I added the white converse as a neutral tone to bring the outfit together.
Wanda Maximoff: The outfit I inspired my look on is from the Scarlett Witch herself in her first MCU movie- “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” This look can follow along the lines of “disney bounding” but could also be used for cosplay. To bring Wanda to life, I simply used a black dress similarly to the one she is wearing in the movie. To represent the red jacket, I added a red cardigan to the dress. Finally, I brought the piece together by wearing some knee high boots very similar to the knee highs she also wears in the movie.

As a MCU fan, you know about there are so many different ways to experience the current 22 movies the cinematic universe has to offer.
Due to the recent pandemic, Marvel hasn’t been able to release any new
movies in the theaters. So during this time, I decided to rewatch my favorite heroes in action to relive some of the best moments!
One of the unique viewing options (and my personal favorite) is watching all the movies in chronological order.
As someone who has seen most of the movies in release order, this was something that I had always wanted to do. Thanks to Disney+, I was able to conquer this task.
One of my favorite things about watching the movies in chronological order, rather than release date is how seamless the movies follow one another. In release order, the movies tend to skip different times and it’s a bit harder to figure out how things flow together in the timeline.
The mid and end credit scenes also play into the telling of the story. Each of those scenes elaborates a little bit more of the story and usually serves as a sneak peek for what is to come.
The adventure begins in 1942 with Steve Rogers as he becomes the hero known as Captain America. Jump forward to the 1990s and meet Carol Danvers and her journey to become the infamous Captain Marvel.
The story continues with the movie that started the entire MCU as you follow Tony Stark as he creates one of the famous heroes in the movie “Iron Man.”
At the end, you finally reach the big finale that every single movie before it was led up too. “Avenger: Endgame” is the three hour movie event where all the superheroes you grew to love come together for one big epic adventure to finally defeat Thanos.
While there are so many different ways that you can enjoy the movies whether you watch them in release order, phase order or chronological order, you can still experience the action and stories that the MCU has to offer just the same.

One of the most iconic heroes of all time has finally made his way back to the small screen for millions of viewers every Tuesday night.
As a spin-off of the successful CW show “Supergirl”, Superman and Lois get to tell their reimagined story.
“Superman and Lois” follows the characters as they have to navigate their new lives as parents raising twin boys as well as being a world famous journalist and superhero.
The show takes place right after the events of 2019’s crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”
Unlike the other tellings, this show is not an origin story like “Smallville.”
Whether it be the TV shows or movies, this is a show is a new addition to the same story that fans of Superman all grew to love.
The audience gets to see one of the most iconic superheroes of all time try to figure out the balance between being a father to his kids and also protecting the world from bad guys.
Clark, Lois and their kids find themselves back in Smallville where they become reacquainted with Kent’s former high school crush Lana Lang and her family. In their quaint hometown, they find out that not everyone is as they seem.
So far, the CW has released the first five episodes of the season with more to come on May 18th due to a delay in production.
Introduced in season 2 of “Supergirl”, TV actor Tyler Hoechlin reprises his role as “The Man of Steel” along with Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane.
Both characters would make cameos every now and again whether it be on a big crossover between all the CW Arrowverse shows or on “Supergirl.”
The series made its debut on February 23rd 2021 to a total of 3.25 million views (both live and DVR tapings).
It quickly became the most streamed CW show for a series premiere.
Within a week of the first episode airing, the CW quickly announced that the show would be returning for a season 2.
For the last five weeks, the show has been able to draw in a strong number of viewers for both live airings and DVR recordings.
From his television debut in 1952 with “Adventures of Supeman” to the most recent show (before “Superman and Lois”) starting in 2000 with “Smallville”, the Man of Steel is still flying high and into the hearts of many fans.
No amount of Kryptonite will be able to keep Clark Kent grounded for long.

As “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” finally made it’s debut on Disney+, the show took the internet by storm.
We finally got to see where both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes has left off after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Sam Wilson aka The Falcon is working alongside the US government and also helping out his sister and nephews.
Bucky is seeing a therapist in order to find a sense of peace and make amends with all those that he has put in the wrong.
The episode follows each character by themselves to give the audience a sense of how exactly each character is doing. Both are learning how to navigate life post “blip” and how to move on from the loss of their friend.
Towards the end of the episode, the news revealed that the country is in need of someone to look up too and see as a symbol just as Steve Rodgers once did.
But the bearer of the shield is someone new……

After the reveal, fans took social media by storm posting TikToks and tweets about the new person playing “Captain America.”
People weren’t as pleased with the new “Captain America” and were comparing him to Chris Evan’s version that we have known throughout the whole MCU.

The hashtag #NotMyCap starting trending on Twitter as the fans spoke out their feelings of the reveal.
Other fans started tweeting in defense saying that the fans were overreacting. They said that it was only a 30 second clip that we saw and we haven’t even truly met the character yet.
With the episode only coming out a few days ago, it seems like the internet will be occupied with a new meme until we can finally meet this new Captain America.

A new show is getting ready to soar its way into the homes of millions.
This Friday, March 19th, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will be making its debut on Disney+.
“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” takes place roughly six months after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” It starts following both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as they navigate their life after being “presumed dead” from Thanos’s snap and taking over Steve Rodger’s iconic shield.
With just a few days leading up to the premiere, here’s some of the movies and films to watch to get caught up!
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”: This is the movie in the MCU where Sam Wilson is first introduced and how he played a huge part in Steve Rodger’s life. This movie also introduces the character of “The Winter Soldier” who ends up being attached to Steve Rodger’s past. While we did meet Bucky back in “Captain America: The First Avenger,” this movie acts as an origin story for both The Falcon and The Winter Soldier that we see now.
“Captain America: Civil War”: This movies goes more in depth and develops both Wilson and Barnes’s character even more. By this movie, we learn that Bucky is now being charged with the bombing of a United Nations building in Vienna. But we soon learn that Barnes is being framed. This puts a wedge into the Avengers signing a treaty that they would now work under the United Nations rather than by themselves. Toward the end of the movie, Bucky decides to refreeze his body so that once he wakes up, he’ll be able to control his actions.
“Avengers: Infinity War”: In the epic adventure, all the Avengers team up together to try and prevent Thanos from collecting all the Infinity Stones. When we first see Bucky, he is in Wakanda along with Black Panther. Captain America, Falcon and many others meet up with them in efforts to protect the stones and stop Thanos from wiping out half of the Earth’s population. In the end, both Falcon and Winter Soldier fall victim to the snap.
“Avengers: Endgame”: The grand finale to the Infinity Saga in the MCU. “Endgame” shows the aftermath of those that were remaining after Thanos and how they were coping with everyone they lost. The last remaining Avengers decided that they will do “whatever it takes” in order to reverse what Thanos did and bring all their friends back to life. In an epic battle, every single member who has been seen in an MCU movie unites on screen to take down Thanos once and for all.
“Marvel Studios: Legends”: Disney+ puts out little 7-8 minute clips of each of the characters and gives each of them a small highlight reel. Each episode showcases one of the Avengers and their parts in the MCU. Recently, Disney+ put out episodes for The Falcon, The Winter Soldier, Zemo (who can be seen in “Captain America: Civil War”) and Sharon (who can be seen in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier’). It’s a simplified version of watching all the movies. It’s also a faster way to get caught up in time for Friday’s premiere.

Among those titles were also a live-action telling of the stories of “Batgirl” and “Zatanna” coming exclusively to HBO Max.
The process of developing “Batgirl” finally to the screen has come with its own challenges. According to an article from Collider, “Justice League” director Joss Whedon was working hard to come up with an idea for the story, but was struggling to do so and stepped away. Christina Hodson (the writer on both “Bumblebee” and “Birds of Prey”) has been attached to this project since 2018 and working on casting since then.
“Batgirl” follows the story of Barbra Gordon (the daughter of police chief in Gotham City-James Gordon). The character became one of the most popular during the Silver Age of Comic Books and is also regarded as a pop culture icon after being seen on the 1960s Batman Television show with Adam West and Burt Ward. Ever since, she’s been in a bunch of other media and most recently was announced to be joining the cast of “Titans” on HBO Max for Season 3.
The new live-action story of “Zatanna” has been more on the quieted rumored side. There isn’t a director/writer combo attached to the show yet.
The character of Zatanna was created in 1964 by Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson. Zatanna is a stage magician by day and an actual magician by night. Most of her powers are wielded by her father. She is known for being closely involved with the Justice League with her childhood attached to Batman. She also starred in a DC Vertigo line with a romantic interest with John Constantine. The last time this character was seen on TV was when she guest-starred in the final three seasons of “Smallville.”

Earlier this week, some HBO Max viewers met the two new members of the Justice League-Tom the Cat and Jerry the Mouse.
As people were watching the limited-time movie “Tom and Jerry” on HBO Max, about half way through the movie they no longer saw the cartoon cat and mouse. Footage from the new Zack Snyder’s cut of “Justice League” (which will be making its debut on the streaming service on March 18th) got leaked and played for a brief moment in the middle of the movie.
Fans started taking to Twitter and tweeting about the new leaked footage that came out.
Within minutes, the HBO Max company became aware of the footage that everyone was tweeting. The company found the due 45 second clip from the movie and it was taken down instantly.
It seems that the Justice League was looking to try and make its debut a little earlier than planned along with the assistance of two famous cartoon characters who finally made their big screen debut.

This weekend marked the first conclusion for Marvel in the start to their “Phase 4” of the cinematic universe.
In honor of the finale coming out on Friday, I celebrated by having a viewing party along with my family.
We made a snack inspired by the show and found a recipe on Marvel.com for a drink that was also inspired by the show.
In the very first episode, “Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience,” Wanda and Vision have guests over for dinner. The only problem is, they have never had to cook dinner before. Wanda decided to prepare a classic for their guests- Breakfast for dinner.
We decided to make toast and waffles in the same style that Wanda did as she served her guests while playing the song “Yakety Yak” by the The Coasters (also featured in the first episode).
Inspired by the 60s, Marvel.com created a recipe for Sokovian Iced Tea (Sokovia is the country where Wanda is from). All that the drink called for was Iced Tea and Lemonade powder with some cherry Kool-Aid mix.
The drink was a success and everyone was ready to witness the grand finale from the past eight weeks. It was a fun way to celebrate the show along with my family.
If you are interested in trying the Sokovian Iced Tea for yourself, you can find the recipe here: https://www.marvel.com/articles/culture- lifestyle/wandavision-sokovian-iced-tea-recipe
A look at the inspirations behind the decades of “Wandavision”

As the clock counts down to the grand finale of “Wandavision,” we can take a look back at all the decades we visited throughout the season with two of our favorite Avengers.
*”Wandavision” Spoilers Ahead*
1950s: The first episode kicks off seeing “The Newlywed Couple” moving into the town of Westview, New Jersey. We meet the couple as they try to blend in and meet their new neighbors. This episode brings inspiration in from some classic sitcoms like “The dink Van Dyke Show” and “I Love Lucy.” Shot entirely in black and white with the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio, it lets you feel as if you are watching one of your favorite classics again.
1960s: The next episode brings us to the era of memorable theme songs from cheery sitcoms and comedies. The 1960s sitcom “Bewitched” served as the inspiration for this era’s theme song. Wanda and Vision work together to try and fit in by joining the town’s talent show by doing a magic act. Chaos ensues with the potential of blowing their cover. The episode pays homage to the transition from black and white television to color by showing the scenery around them changing as they transition into the next era.
1970s: “Now in Color”, episode 3 of “Wandavision” pays homage to some of the most iconic 70s sitcoms. After finding out she was pregnant, Wanda and Vision have to figure out how to navigate their lives as new parents. Finding inspiration from shows like “The Brady Bunch” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” this episode felt like the the traditional family sitcoms that everyone used to enjoy.
1980s: The era with some of the most iconic sitcoms comes and meets Wanda and Vision. We now see the characters growing together as a family, with twins Billy and Tommy Maximoff growing at a very fast rate. Towards the end of the episode, the family gets a special visitor. Some noticeable inspirations comes from “Family Ties,” “Growing Pains,” and “Full House” in this episode’s theme song. From the outfits to the new 2:40 aspect ratio, we are slowly starting to reach the most modern eras of television.
1990s: Episode 6 draws heavily from one show in particular-“Malcom in the Middle.” In this special Halloween episode, Wanda and Vision dress up (in their comic book accurate costumes) along with Uncle Pietro, Billy and Tommy. Vision starts noticing that things aren’t as they seem and starts investigating. “Malcom in the Middle” is noted for its Halloween episodes, so this falls perfectly on brand for “Wandavision.”
2000s: As we move to modern day television, we follow the characters in the style of a “mock-umentary.” As the events unfold throughout the episode, the characters talk to the camera about what their personal thoughts are that are occuring throughout the episode. Episode 7 takes inspiration from newer shows like “Modern Family” and “The Office,” two shows that also followed the same style. This episodes theme song was styled very much like “The Office” with the title card matching the same print as “Modern Family.”
Honorable mention: Also in the same 2000’s styled episode, we learn that the neighbor Agnes, isn’t really who she seemed to be. At the end of the episode, she reveled herself to be the witch Agatha Harkness and was also given her own styled theme song. Agatha’s theme drew from some of the “darker” TV sitcoms like “The Addams Family” and “The Munsters.”
Spider-Man, Loki and Agnes……OH MY!!!!!

“Spider-Man” stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Tom Holland took to Instagram to share the new “Spider-Man 3” title……but there was a catch. On 2/23/21, fans were going crazy on social media trying to figure out what the title for the upcoming film was. But each actor posted a different title. Fans were speculating and trying to figure out what the new title could be.
