Today I want to share a super cool live performance of Cassidy from 1993. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thinking of how this performance was just 2 years prior to Jerry Garcia passing away. It is interesting how you can hear the changes, the negative changes, in his voice near the end of his time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, this song is not sung by Jerry but by Bob Weir. Cassidy also appeared on Bob Weir’s first solo album titled “Ace”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My parents named me after this song. That is what my dad tells me at least, my mom always tells me that she had just always liked the name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it is way cooler to be named after a Grateful Dead song than to just have your mom like the name! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nonetheless, it has <\/em>to be one of my all-time favorite songs. I hope you give it a listen and enjoy it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
