My boyfriend and I take the train together for college breaks. We get to ride with one another for about 5 and a half hours. I usually like to download movies or shows on Prime Video to keep us occupied.
For spring break, I had been browsing through the recently added and had stumbled upon Daisy Jones & The Six. It’s a show about a 1970s band and their rise to success as well as their eventual fall.
We watched the first 2 episodes on the train. Episodes are just under an hour and are very captivating.
I enjoyed observing the fashion of the time and the music scattered throughout the show. The emphasis on drug and alcohol use in the music industry was highlighted and the chemistry of the characters was enticing.
The series is also based on a New York Times Bestseller. I am tempted to read the book! A girl sitting near us on the train was reading the book while we were watching the show. What a coincidence!
Let me know if you have watched this show or read the book. If you have done both then tell me which is better! I have been seeing some mixed reviews so I am looking forward to hearing your guys’ feedback!
