Hello All! My name is Kassidy or Kass. I am a senior psychology major with a double minor in sociology and communication at SUNY Fredonia.
I am starting this blog mostly for a class however I also really crave sharing my interests with an audience. In a weird way maybe we all do. Perhaps a way to compensate for inherent inferiority.
I have many interests but few hobbies. I enjoy clothes, I look forward to getting dressed every morning. Putting on jewelry and decorating my body (jewelry tour to come).
I enjoy thrifting a lot, most of my closet is thrifted or my dad’s old clothes that I steal. It’s fun to give new life to something old and presumably detested by a previous owner.
Also, I think glass art is cool, blown glass art. I recently got two super cool pendant necklaces that I absolutely adore.
However, most of all, I love music. Mostly live, jam band music. My parents are massive Dead Heads.
They’re amazing, they even got married on Jerry Garcia’s birthday (August 1st) and named me after a Grateful Dead song (Cassidy). I guess you could say I am “born to be Kassidy”.
I have been to about 30ish live concerts. Most of the band Twiddle. But I’ve also seen Billy Strings, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Kitchen Dwellers, Aqueous, Andy Frasco and the UN, Midnight North, Taz, and others that I cannot recall at this moment.
Basically, I have 20 years of training in jam band music. Therefore I’m fully equipped to hold a position in which I can ramble on and on about my interests.
In most of my posts I want to show what the influence of Dead has had on life lessons I have learned or what interests me.
