Another week, another slay.
Picking and choosing what games I want to talk about is like a life-or-death situation.
Do I choose to be happy or do I choose to be extremely angry?
Well this time, I choose to be extremely angry.
And because this game tends to make me very angry, I will be using explicit language. So you are warned.
So, to begin as always, the game of the week is…
“Overwatch 2”
Holy fuck does this game piss me off.
Now of course, every game comes with its ups and downs but I feel as though “Overwatch 2” just keeps getting more and more downs.
For a little more information, “Overwatch 2” is the same as another game “Overwatch.”
Both are owned by the same people and have the same type of aspects. I think the only difference is that “Overwatch 2” is free and “Overwatch 2” replaced “Overwatch.”.
You can play “Overwatch 2” on Xbox, Playstation, Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Battle.Net.
I started playing the first game, “Overwatch,” back in the 2017-2018 area. When I just started out playing, I LOVED this game!
I was just having fun playing the different characters on all the different maps with all of my friends.
Ever since they switched to “Overwatch 2,” the game has made me more mad than having fun.
I miss “Overwatch.” 🙁
Anyways, before I get too into my hatred for “Overwatch 2,” it would probably be best if I gave everyone some information regarding this game and some positive feedback…just a little…
“Overwatch 2” is owned by a company called Blizzard Entertainment. This game is a first-person shooter and is a replacement for “Overwatch.”
When I first started playing “Overwatch,” each team had six players on each team. Each team has 2 tank players, 2 damage players, and 2 support players.
But now when playing “Overwatch 2,” each team has 5 players (2 teams per game). In the main game mode, blank, you have 1 player as the tank, 2 players as damage, and 2 players as support.
The description of each of these categories is explained down below.
This game, as of right now, has 39 characters that are separated into 3 categories.
I could list all 39 characters but we would be here for a bit so I will mention later on the characters I first started playing and the characters I play now.

Each character has different abilities, play styles, and personalities. Each character also has an ultimate, which is built up throughout the game and can be used once reaches 100%.
Every character is different so if you’re interested in learning about each character’s ultimate, you should check out the link below!

As I said before, there are 3 different categories: tank, damage, and support.
Tank:
The role of one of the tank characters is mainly to make space between their team and the enemy’s team. Not only are they making space, but they are also protecting their teammates and taking damage for their team.
There are 12 different tank characters to play.
Now when I first played “Overwatch,” I was obsessed with playing a tank character named D.Va.
She was my all-time favorite. Not saying she isn’t my favorite character right now, but I don’t play her as much.
One of my proudest moments I guess you could say was when I was put onto the SUNY Esports X (formally Twitter) account when I was attending a community college my freshman year. I had my D.Va play of the game with five kills. This was during “Overwatch” not “Overwatch 2.”

Unfortunately, I do not have any of my own clips since I haven’t played tank in a long time.
Why I don’t play D.Va as often is because Blizzard Entertainment decided to get rid of one extra player off each team. Which makes each team consist of 1 tank, 2 damage, and 2 support.
So now I have all this pressure on me and I don’t do well under pressure.
However, occasionally I will play tank if I’m feeling very slay but just no. Playing a tank character is definitely not my first pick. Not even my second either.
If you are interested in playing a tank character in “Overwatch 2,” in my opinion, Reinhardt (first picture) and Orisa (second picture).
They are pretty easy to learn and all in all, they are definitely, again in my opinion, some of the strongest tank characters to counter or fight against.

Damage:
Next up are our damage characters. The role of them is to defeat enemy players with whatever characters they choose. Each character in “Overwatch 2” has different abilities that make each of them powerful.
There are 17 different damage characters to choose from.
When I first started playing (back in “Overwatch”), I played a lot of Sombra.
I also do not have any clips of me playing Sombra BECAUSE it’s been so long since I’ve played her.
Sombra, at the time, had insane abilities that I just loved and it felt cool and funny to chase around people while being invisible. (I would also spam voice lines to scare the shit out of them).
I sadly don’t play damage as often anymore as I would like. If I do, Sombra is not my first pick anymore.
My first pick, as of right now, is Junkrat.
I know what you all are thinking. Why the worst, ugliest, and fucking annoying character? Because I like to be a bitch. No that’s not the reason.
I felt so comfortable playing Junkrat because he’s so funny and I love his abilities.
Yeah, he’s not the best-looking character, but he has the most hilarious voice lines I have EVER HEARD.
I like his ultimate, the rip-tire. When you hit your ultimate, you see PEOPLE RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES WHICH IS SO FUCKING FUNNY! I know I’m crazy but I love playing him.
He’s also a very girly pop and he slays.

Support:
Yes. I am the most basic bitch ever but support has ALWAYS had my heart. I like to say I can play ALMOST all of the support characters.
Each of them has amazing abilities, and personality and is just fun as hell.
The support characters are there to heal their team, help kill enemies when they can, and help their teammates with their abilities.
All in all, the support characters ARE TO SUPPORT!
Playing support is not for the weak. You will get harassed, you will be told to go fuck yourself, however, just do what I do. Tell them to fuck off. Or ignore them, that’s probably a better idea.
There are about 10 support characters you could choose from.
One of my first picks and is still one of my favorite characters to play is Lúcio.
I don’t know what it is about this man but maybe it’s because he’s a DJ, or he’s on rollerblades or he’s just so fucking cool. I love him and I LOVE playing with him.
Everything about him is just awesome. His abilities are like none other and the fact that this man is just groovin’ the whole time while fighting enemies and supporting his team is just so funny.
Like the clips below. It’s hilarious. (Also see the clip of me doing a BEAUTIFUL rollout)
Like I said above, I will play all of the support characters which is why I can’t just stop at one. I have to at least tell y’all about some of the others.
I also play a character named Kirko.
Now Kirko was introduced in “Overwatch 2.” But when she was, I was like “I’m not playing her. I don’t like her playstyle.”
…Look at me now. Kirko is probably one of my top picks if not my first.
Kirko is funny, her abilities are a whole new level and her ultimate is fast-paced and fucks with the enemy team.
I feel like I’ve had some of the funniest moments playing Kirko. Like some of the clips below.
The last support character that I would choose would be Ana. (this was so hard because I LOVE all of them, but I had to choose)
Ana is not just some old bitch. She is so fierce and such a badass.
I love killing people like Ana because I’m like “I’m not some old bitch, I got some moves too.”
But Ana has an amazing layout for her play style. The only downside, she has no movement. Yeah, she’s old, she can’t use those legs like she could when she was young.
But she can stop her enemies with her sleep darts. Which is HILARIOUS! PLEASE LOOK AT THE CLIP BELOW!
Because of how much I play support, I think it’s only fair to give my honest rating scale. From my most picks to my last picks.
- Lucio
- Kirko
- Ana
- Zenyatta
- Mercy
- Moira
- Baptiste
- Lifeweaver
- Brigitte
- Illaria

I love “Overwatch 2” mainly for the characters. If I didn’t mention this before, each character is so awesome and has different abilities that make them incredibly strong.
Because of how incredibly strong they can be, it sometimes PISSES ME OFF!
Especially during a ranked game. Ranked games are exactly what they sound like. You play a few games, you get put into a rank system, and then find out your rank.
I’m not gonna say mine because I don’t play ranked as often and to be honest, the ranking system fucking sucks.
Now, let’s talk about my pros and cons.
Pros:
- Good selection of characters
- Awesome and unique maps to play on
- The good story behind each character
Cons:
- Rank system SUCKS
- Some characters are WAY overpowered which makes the game unfair
- Causes me severe anger issues
- No creativity with different cosmetics for the characters
- Not taking enough time to look over bad behavior during games (this includes racist, sexist, and homophobic remarks as well as mentions of suicide and harm)
All in all, “Overwatch 2” could be way better. If they changed the ranking system (I know they’ve changed it like 15 times, but maybe look at what other games are doing) if they took the time to fix overpowered characters and take the time to look over comments and hearing out players who have experienced someone who said any and everything mentioned above, the game would rank higher on my list.
It sucks because I loved “Overwatch” but when they replaced it with “Overwatch 2,” it just went downhill.
Yes, I still have a lot of fun playing with my friends and it’s a game that will always hold a special place in my heart. But not for anger issues.
I don’t think this game would be a good selection for someone who’s thinking about starting off playing video games.
I think it’s a good game to get used to for different styles and gameplays, however with how toxic the community is, it’s best to either not look at the chat and to not be in the voice chat (unless you’re in ranked).
Because of everything I mentioned above, my rating for this game is not the best and will probably not be taken seriously by some people. However, my opinion is my opinion.
