Quesadillas!

From skillet to satisfaction, these quesadillas are the ultimate cheesy temptation!

Ingredients:

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, diced (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • Optional toppings: salsa, sour cream, guacamole

Materials:

  • Medium-sized skillet
  • Spatula

Instructions:

  1. Heat the skillet over medium heat and add olive oil or butter.
  2. Place one tortilla in the skillet.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese evenly over the tortilla.
  4. If using, add cooked chicken, diced bell peppers, and onions on top of the cheese (optional of course, but let’s be mature!
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the toppings.
  6. Place the second tortilla on top to cover the fillings.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and the cheese melts.
  8. Carefully flip the quesadilla using a spatula and cook for 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  9. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and let it cool for a minute.
  10. Cut the quesadilla into wedges using a knife or pizza cutter.
  11. Serve with your favorite toppings such as salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
