<\/p>\nWhenever I need to go to Walmart, I find myself trying to find ways to motivate myself into going.<\/p>\n
Why? Because I really, really hate going.<\/p>\n
I find it too crowded. I get stressed about buying groceries. The bright lights are nauseating.<\/p>\n
So, to compromise, I allow myself to go look in the makeup aisle for a bit.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s somewhat of an unhealthy habit because most times I\u2019ll buy a product or two.<\/p>\n
When I went this past weekend, it was no different.<\/p>\n
Except the new e.l.f. Mint Melt collection caught my eye.<\/p>\n
Specifically, the mini eyeshadow palettes from the collection that retail for $4.00 each caught my attention. Into my cart they went.<\/p>\n
Each mini palette has four shades \u2014 two shimmer and two matte shades in each.<\/p>\n
Both have a mint green theme, which I think is perfect for the month of March, the season of spring and St. Patrick\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

The palettes are small enough to bring on the go and not take up all the room in your makeup bag.<\/p>\n
The \u201cMint to Be\u201d palette has a bright green shimmer, a silver shimmer, a minty-grey matte and a grey matte. The \u201cChocolate Mint\u201d palette has a baby green shimmer, a peachy-brown shimmer, a light brown matte and a dark brown matte.<\/p>\n I personally like the \u201cChocolate Mint\u201d mini better because I find the matte shades work better for me.<\/p>\n This may also be because the matte shades in the \u201cChocolate Mint\u201d palette are darker.<\/p>\n However, I do also think the \u201cChocolate Mint\u201d palette has a better color story overall.<\/p>\n The colors seem to work fairly well, especially for the price. The shadows were pretty creamy and easy to use.<\/p>\n However, the light green in the \u201cMint to Be\u201d palette could have been more pigmented in my opinion.<\/p>\n I find myself having to really pack on the lighter shade in order to make it show up.<\/p>\n After using the palettes a few times, I noticed using an eyeshadow primer helped make the colors pop better.<\/p>\n Here is a look a did using mainly the “Chocolate Mint” palette. However, I do question how well the lighter shadows would work on darker skin tones.<\/p>\n It is also important to mention that the palettes are vegan and cruelty free.<\/p>\n Overall, I do like these two mini palettes.
