<\/p>\nAs I have said many times before, in no way am I an expert in makeup.<\/p>\n
This specifically applies to my ability in putting on liquid eyeliner.<\/p>\n
I have always been rather bad at the process \u2014 so much so that I convinced myself for years that I could not pull off winged liner.<\/p>\n
However, after far too many failed attempts with liquid liner, I ended up trying to use eyeshadow.<\/p>\n
I now use a black or brown eyeshadow to put on eyeliner, and I use an angled brow brush to apply the shadow. <\/p>\n
I first draw the diagonal line from the corner of my eye and then fill out the rest of the wing.<\/p>\n
This process is much more forgiving. If I mess up at all, I literally just take my finger and smear the eyeshadow.<\/p>\n
If I make a really bad mistake, I take some micellular water and a q-tip to fix up the edges.<\/p>\n
I have found this method can also be fun when incorporating other eyeshadow colors to the wing.<\/p>\n
Just the other day, I applied a red shadow to the outer edge of the wing. I felt like this made the look pop and feel so much more interesting. ![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/fredstories.com\/cheapface\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/IMG_4996.jpg?resize=300%2C161&ssl=1\")

It was super quick and easy to do as well.<\/p>\n
The downside of not using liquid liner is that the wing doesn\u2019t look as crisp as it would with liquid liner.<\/p>\n
The eyeshadow looks a little messier and blurred at times, but I personally like the way it looks better than liquid liner.<\/p>\n
So, if you are feeling defeated from attempting to use liquid liner because your hand is too shaky or you just can\u2019t seem to get the hang of it, try using eyeshadow.<\/p>\n
You may just discover you look great with a wing that is much easier to apply.<\/p>\n
