On average, I spend about an hour a day on TIkTok — yikes.
I would like to defend myself by letting you know I do set a time limit on my phone … most times I just ignore it.
Don’t get it twisted, though. Sometimes, I really do find informative content on the platform.
For example, I have found some great makeup accounts on the platform. One of my favorites right now is @marthalynnn.
She calls herself an “eyeshadow girlie” in her bio, which is what most of her content revolves around.
She currently has about 230K followers, and a whopping 8.8 million likes across her entire account.
She shows her followers how to do beginner, intermediate and expert level eye looks.
I have personally gotten a lot of inspiration for my own makeup looks through her account, and I love that she shows different looks that anyone can do.
Martha specializes in doing bright looks with pops of vibrant colors. She also uses rhinestones for many of her looks.
Her page feels like a breath of fresh air in the beauty world because her looks are relatively easy while simultaneously looking eccentric and fun.
To give you an idea of some of the looks she posts, the green eyeshadow look is an example of one for beginners, while the blue look with rhinestones is an example of an expert-level one.
