Audio books are great for people on the go. If you really want to finish a book but don’t have the time it is great when people read it for you.
However, it can be hard to absorb the information as well as you might when you are actually reading. I can’t focus on audio books.
There is kind of a disconnect when it comes to audio books. While actually reading the words it can be easier to get the information.
Reading can put you into a new universe. That doesn’t easily happen with audio books.
When it comes to audio books you are stuck at someone else’s reading pace. By reading yourself you can read at your own pace.
It also depends on the person who is reading its voice. If it is a voice that is enjoyable to you the book will probably be more enjoyable.
If the persons voice is distracting or irritable you might not want to focus on the audio book.
Some people might prefer audio books. They are still getting to absorb some literature if they don’t have the time or are not the best readers.
There is both pros and cons to audio books. Overall it is up to you to decide if they are the best options for you.
Where to find audio books:
One place you can find audio books is the site Audible. Audible is fully dedicated to audio books.
One issue with Audible is that a subscription to this website is almost 15 dollars a month. This can be affordable for some but isn’t very practical.
This is however cheaper than most other audio books. There is some places where you have to buy each book separately.
On Audiobooksnow.com some of the books range from 8 to 14 dollars each. It would be cheaper in this case to have a monthly subscription to Audible.
There is also some audio books available on Youtube.
