It’s the end of the Spring semester for college students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my opinion the hardest time of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assignment after paper after presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It feels hard to breathe this time of year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motivation is slipping away, and it’s getting nice outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, where I am, kinda nice outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more I see the sun the more I want to be outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not stuck in my room writing a 1,500-word paper for a class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other day (4\/22) was Earth Day, and the weather was nice for once.<\/p>\n\n\n

I told my roommates and friends that I was going to our local “beach” (Lake Erie) to watch the sunset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone joined me and we walked down the beach to a spot we’ve been going to since our freshman year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We brought blankets, a kickball, a frisbee, and a speaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together for just about an hour, we all forgot about life and just enjoyed nature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We sat and watched the sunset on a sunny day that we hadn’t seen in a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking just about an hour to go out and breathe and let life go feels amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n

I felt like a ten-year-old playing with my neighborhood friends again begging my mom to let me stay outside a little longer on a school night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember to stay on top of things and try your best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, remember to let yourself breathe and enjoy your journey and where you are in life right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s hard not to think about the past, present, and future simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take that hour to just focus on the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I understand not everyone lives\/goes to school near water, but taking a walk, going for a drive, etc. All count as taking a breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
