Pickles!
If you don’t consume, smell, eat, or think about pickles, please stop reading now.
I’m kidding, I have pickle alternatives, for those who don’t acquire the wonderful taste of pickles.
Now I’m sure you have heard of pickles…did your mouth start watering when you read that? Mine did.
I am a loyal fan of pickles, I would say I eat at least three or more pickles a day.
So, I wanted to share two fun, easy and affordable ways (besides just eating a pickle) to eat your pickles.
Also, I will be including some health benefits you can gain by eating pickles.
Let’s get started!
Air Fryer Fried Pickles:
If you are a pickle lover, like me, you may have had fried pickles before.
If you haven’t, your world is about to change for the better.
But have you made them at home before? No?
Let’s do it together so we can enjoy the wonderful invention of fried food!
Ingredients Needed:
Pickles
Flour
Seasonings of your choice (salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder).
Breadcrumbs (I use Panko)
Eggs (at least two)
First, you want to dab your pickles dry, so they aren’t soaking wet before you start this process.

Next, you want to fill a shallow bowl with your flour and seasoning(s).
*There is no right or wrong amount of seasoning, this is all preference! *
After you’ve obtained a bowl of flour and seasonings, coat each pickle in your flour mixture.
Then, soak your pickle in the whisked eggs, then cover each pickle in breadcrumbs.
Now you are ready to start cooking your pickles!
First, spray cooking oil into the bottom of your air fryer so the pickles don’t stick.
Then, place your pickles in your air fryer, evenly spread out so they have space to cook.
Before starting your air fryer, spray the top of the pickles with cooking spray so that they don’t stick when being flipped halfway through!
Set your air fryer to 400 degrees for ten minutes and flip them halfway through, and you have yourself some homemade fried pickles!
Wait, Dipping Sauce!
Now what do you dip fried pickles in?

The answer to that is absolutely anything.
Many people chose ranch, spicy mayo, chipotle sauce, or spicy ranch.
Spicy mayo is a top favorite for me, here is how I make it at home!
Ingredients:
Mayo
Sriracha
Lime juice
Have fun with it and dip your pickles into whatever tastes the best for you!
Crispy Cheese Wrapped Pickle:
As a cheese and pickle lover, what’s a better idea then combining the two? Nothing.
This is an amazing idea.
I won’t take credit for this combination because it has been all over my TikTok and Instagram, but I wanted to share for those who haven’t seen this mouthwatering, mind-blowing snack.
All you need is a pickle and a slice of cheese.

I prefer pepper jack for some spice, but any cheese and any pickle of your choice will do.
First, you are going to spray cooking oil on a pan, then place the pan on the stove at medium heat.
Next, you are going to place your slice of cheese on the pan and watch it get crispy.
The cheese will start to cook and turn brown but that’s how we want it, almost burnt to the crisp.

Once your cheese starts looking crispy, you then place your pickle in the middle of the cheese.
Once the cheese is to your crisp liking, fold the sides of cheese over your pickle so now your pickle is wrapped in your cooked cheese.
You’re done! Now you have a crispy cheese-wrapped pickle!
Seriously, don’t knock it until you try it.
I was suspicious of this at first, but now I make this cheese pickle once a week.
Alternatives:
My pickle-haters are probably wondering what the alternative is.
An alternative choice would be eggplant or zucchini!
You are still able to follow both recipes with eggplant or zucchini and they still make your mouth water.
Try experimenting with other fruits and vegetables!
The Benefits:
Linked below is an article that shares health benefits like digestion and muscle cramps.
It also shares the risks of consuming too much sodium
