Finding Balance: Reset Day
Everyone needs a reset day.
This can be different for everyone but I’ll give you one of my reset day examples.
I’m actually writing this for my site on a reset day, but we’ll get into that.
It’s a Saturday, it’s been a long week and they keep progressing…unfortunately.
I woke up and had nothing on my schedule, I slept in because I could.
My day started off slow then got better.
I knew I wanted to shower later so I put a hair mask in to let it sit.
Then I started cleaning up my room which definitely needed a pick-me-up.
That consisted of:
- Making my bed.
- Dusting my shelves.
- Vacuuming my carpet.
- Cleaning my mirrors.
It’s a Saturday, but I still procrastinate the assignments that I cwould squeeze extra wiggle room out of (barley).
Don’t be like me, I’m just being honest about my work this week.
I did some homework so my Sunday load would be a lot lighter.
Now that I cleaned on Saturday I have less to do on Sunday.
I don’t always have my Saturdays free so it was nice to check some things off the list before the end of the week.
After my shower, I ice-rolled my face and put on an under-eye mask.
This was a part of my self-care reset for the day.
It’s now four o’clock and I already got a good amount done.
If I have any bursts of energy to get other cleaning or assignments done I will.
But my reset day was pretty satisfying and fulfilling to me.
So now I get to hang out and relax with my friends and enjoy the rest of my unknown Saturday.
