Finding Balance

Finding Balance: Busy Week!

Balance!

Maintaining sanity during a busy week feels impossible!

This week I’m gonna share my abnormally busy week I’ve been having!

I already knew I was going to be busy this week because I am traveling starting Thursday to Monday.

Knowing this and my school work load and other chores, I knew I had to be on top of my game this week.

All my homework needed to be done by Wednesday night so that means not spacing assignments out as much.

My goal for the week was to keep pushing through.

Scheduling:

The Sunday before my week started I already started preparing.

Most of the time I know what my workload is going to be in advance so I can easily sit down and plan.

Usually I plan what I want to do for each day of the week.

You can do this through an agenda, your phone notes app, whatever works best for you.

I have a planner for my homework, tasks and chores that I use on my iPad.

Having my own personal deadline of Wednesday, I went through my homework and completed assignments one by one.

Even on normal non traveling weeks, my schedule tends to overwhelm me.

This is mostly me having zero chill and going 100 miles an hour a second, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

Taking ten to twenty minutes to plan your schedule can make you feel more at ease.

This allows you to fully see everything you need/want to do that week.

But don’t worry I still had wrenches thrown into my plans…

Monday: Accidentally left my bedsheets at the laundromat, don’t ask me how, I really don’t know how I forgot them.

Tuesday: Went to go see if anyone stole my sheets, luckily no one did! Then I found out I was landing at an airport an hour away from where I was supposed to land!

Wednesday: Had to go back to the laundromat to wash my clothes, this time I remembered everything. Cleaned my room, bathroom and apartment because we have guests coming Monday night.

My point of this is to show everyone that you can make plans and they can still turn out differently.

Don’t panic, things like this happen and unfortunately it’s just something else you have to figure out, but you will figure it out.

I had a busy week filled with a whole list of things I wanted to do and I was able to complete them, but there were times I was scared I wasn’t going to be able to.

Or I was annoyed because these inconveniences were getting in the way of what I wanted to do.

It’s easy to let little inconveniences make you feel defeated. We all go through that.

Remember to take time for yourself. Relaxing is also important.

Word hard and try your best but don’t overwork yourself.
